Arigato, {{ first name | dear investor }},
Recently, I've been receiving a lot of questions about the safety of brokerage platforms after the recent industry news. 🤔
Personally, I believe MAS-regulated brokers in Singapore are generally very safe and highly regulated.
But the recent news reminded me of something important:
Diversification doesn't only apply to stocks. It can apply to brokerage platforms too.
Today, I want to share why I personally have 6 brokerage accounts for my investments.

1. Risk Management & Peace of Mind
Even though I trust regulated brokers, I still prefer not to keep everything in one place.
Just like we diversify our investments to reduce concentration risk, diversifying across platforms adds another layer of risk management.
And if a U.S. brokerage were to fail, SIPC protection generally covers up to US$500,000 per account, including up to US$250,000 for cash balances held for investing purposes.

This means that by spreading my investments across multiple brokerage accounts, I'm effectively diversifying not just my investments, but also my brokerage exposure.
In a way, it allows me to extend the protection coverage across different platforms instead of concentrating everything in a single account.
Of course, I don't expect regulated brokerages to fail. The probability is very low.
But investing has never been about predicting what will happen.
It's about managing risk thoughtfully and creating a setup that helps you stay invested with confidence.
And honestly...
If it gives you peace of mind, it's good to diversify. 😊
2. Different Brokerages Have Different Strengths
Over the years, I've learned that every brokerage has its own strengths.
Some are better for Singapore stocks.
Some are stronger for U.S. investing.
Others offer more advanced tools for options trading and portfolio management.
This is one reason why Webull is one of the brokerage platforms I personally use and trust.
In fact, I currently have close to $600,000 invested through Webull.

Beyond being MAS-regulated in Singapore, Webull Corporation is also listed on the NASDAQ $BULL ( ▼ 0.76% ) in the U.S., adding another layer of transparency and credibility as a publicly listed company.
What I personally like most is the platform itself.
For U.S. stocks, ETFs, and options trading, Webull is powerful, user-friendly, and packed with useful tools.

And one thing many investors don't realize:
💰 $0 commission and $0 platform fees for all U.S. stocks and ETFs.
💰 Options trading is only US$ 0.55 per contract, which is lower than other brokerages in town.
Over time, those savings can add up significantly.

3. Better Portfolio Organization
Having multiple brokerage accounts also helps me organize my investments more clearly.
For example:
📈 Long-term ETF portfolio
💰 Options trading portfolio
🏦 Singapore dividend portfolio
This makes it easier to track performance, manage risk, and stay disciplined with each investing strategy.
This might not be the most important reason, but it's definitely one of my favourite reasons. 😆
Many brokerage platforms use free shares and welcome rewards to encourage new investors to fund and start investing with them.
And personally, I love taking advantage of these promotions whenever they make sense.
After all, if I'm already planning to invest my money, why not get rewarded for doing something I was going to do anyway?
For example, when Webull first launched in Singapore more than 2 years ago, I received almost $10,000 worth of free NVIDIA shares through their promotion.
The best part?
I never sold them.
I simply kept them in my portfolio and let them compound alongside my other investments.
Today, those free shares have generated more than USD $16,000 in profits for me.

Imagine getting rewarded simply for funding your account and starting your investing journey — and then watching those rewards continue growing over time.
That's the beauty of investing. 😊
If you missed Webull's earlier promotions, don't worry.
Right now, eligible new users can still receive up to S$1,200* worth of NVIDIA shares plus S$688* in free stock vouchers when opening a new Webull account.
What a great way to kickstart your investing journey while collecting some extra rewards along the way.

My Final Thoughts
For some investors, one brokerage account is enough.
For others, diversifying across platforms can provide greater diversification, better organization, more peace of mind, and even free shares!
As for me, I'm definitely in the latter camp. 😊
How about you?
P.S. Webull is currently offering up to S$1,200* worth of NVIDIA shares plus S$688* in free stock vouchers for a limited time only. Make sure to sign up now before the promotion is gone! 💛
