Yesterday was such a magical day.

I flew back to Singapore to attend my good friend Gena’s wedding — someone I’ve known for 18 years, all the way since our Junior College days. Back then, it was always the four of us. We bonded over project work, endless chit-chats, late-night stress, and somehow… those simple moments turned into golden memories that still make me smile today.

So when I saw Gena walking down the aisle yesterday, embracing her new role and identity… my heart felt full.

On top of being a woman with so much passion for her career, she’s now a loving and supportive wife — and maybe one day, a joyful mother to cute little kids too. Time really flies, but the bond we built all those years ago? That stays forever.

What touched me even more was how many people showed up for her.

Friends flew in from all over the world — UK, Hangzhou, different cities across Asia — many of them landing within the last 24 hours just to be there for her. Even I flew all the way back from Canada and Portugal because I knew how meaningful this day was.

And honestly, it didn’t surprise me.

Gena has always been that type of person who quietly attracts amazing, supportive people into her life. The more I think about it, the clearer it becomes:

When you’re kind, you naturally draw more kindness into your world.
That’s just how life works.

Another thing I’m really proud of?

Five years ago during Covid, I helped Gena get started on her investing journey. Finance has never been her thing — she doesn’t like numbers (she actually hates maths!), and investing felt overwhelming to her.

So we kept it simple.
