Peter’s notebook

Arigato, dear investor,

Life has a way of reminding us that we are always students.

The other day, I sat down for coffee with one of my students, Peter, who joined my coaching earlier this year. As we chatted, I was so moved by how much he has grown since April.

Yes, he has already made ~$3,500 USD following the strategies I shared in class… but what touched me even more was the way he approached learning.

He showed me his notebook — and it wasn’t just filled with copied notes. It was a reflection of his own thinking, carefully condensed and reorganised into a framework that made sense to him. That was when I realised the true reason behind his success.

Here are a few lessons from Peter’s journey that I feel are worth sharing:

✨ Condense and synthesise
Instead of memorising blindly, Peter made the learning his own. He asked, “How does this fit into my world?” and that’s why the strategies stick with him so well.

✨ Effort matters
Condensing and creating your own framework takes time. Some may blame the teacher or the strategy when they don’t see results… but often, it’s really about whether we take the time to revise and truly implement. Peter chose to put in the effort.

✨ Be gentle with yourself
Before joining my class, Peter had spent almost 10 years attending program after program. Some felt too complicated, others he never fully mastered. For a long time, he didn’t see results. But looking back, none of it was wasted. All those experiences became the foundation that allowed him to learn faster this time. If you’re struggling now, please don’t be too hard on yourself. It doesn’t mean you can’t invest — it just means you haven’t found a system that clicks with you yet.

✨ Never give up
Peter’s journey shows that as long as you keep going, your time will come. His determination finally brought him to a place where investing feels peaceful, simple, and aligned.
