my reason.

did you see that coming?

In partnership with

Arigato, dear investor,

Hey friend,

A few years ago, I was having lunch with an investor friend and asked him a simple question:

“What’s your long-term investment goal?”

He paused, looked at me, and said:
“I just want to move my family out of Hong Kong to England… so they can live a better life.”

I literally put my food down.
Not because it was shocking, but because it was so honest.

And it made me realise…

Why do so many of us feel like we need some huge, world-changing reason to start investing?

Like we need to “save the world” or “help others in need” just to justify wanting to build wealth?

Here’s the truth:

👉 It’s okay if the only reason you started investing is to take care of your family.
In fact, I’d say it’s noble. It’s honourable.

Unabashedly, that was my reason too.
When my dad was retrenched, I felt this deep responsibility to step up.
So I did.

I didn’t start investing to retire early.
Or to be rich.
Or to change the world.

I started because I wanted to protect the people I love.

Thank you for being part of my life, my family!

And even now—years later, with a 7-figure portfolio, multiple income streams, and the freedom to take care of horses on a Canadian farm while my portfolio continues to grow—
I’m still investing for them.
And for myself.

Here’s the beautiful part:

I love the fact that the result of me working to build up a retirement portfolio for my family, thousands of people all over the world are learning more about my investing philosophy, mindset, methods, strategies, and all the things I teach on.

In other words: In pursuit of my income, I helped others.

Funny how that works, huh?

We need to normalise normal.
Normal people, from normal families, learning how to invest—not for hype, but to build a buffer.
To pay the bills.
To go on a fully paid family trip.
To enjoy life more. 😄

You don’t have to change the world.
Just change your family’s world.
And that’s more than enough. 💛

The key to a $1.3T opportunity

A new trend in real estate is making the most expensive properties obtainable. It’s called co-ownership, and it’s revolutionizing the $1.3T vacation home market.

The company leading the trend? Pacaso. Created by the founder of Zillow, Pacaso turns underutilized luxury properties into fully-managed assets and makes them accessible to the broadest possible market.

The result? More than $1b in transactions, 2,000+ happy homeowners, and over $110m in gross profits for Pacaso.

With rapid international growth and 41% gross profit growth last year, Pacaso is ready for what’s next. They even recently reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

But the real opportunity is now, before public markets. Until 5/29, you can join leading investors like SoftBank and Maveron for just $2.80/share.

This is a paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals. Under Regulation A+, a company has the ability to change its share price by up to 20%, without requalifying the offering with the SEC.
