I spent the whole day doing this...
Arigato, dear investor,
Very often, people ask me, “Chloe, what do you do to improve yourself?” Of course, reading books and attending courses helps—but sometimes, the fastest way to grow is simply talking to the right people.
Yesterday, I spent the whole day catching up with friends who inspire me, soaking in their insights on investing, business, and personal growth to become a better Chloe for 2025. Here are the lessons I learned that could help you level up your own investing and wealth journey.
From Zachary: Choosing the Right Model
Zachary shared with me the importance of choosing the right business model and standing out through unique positioning. This concept resonated deeply with me, especially as it applies to investing.

In investing, the “business model” is your strategy. Whether it’s value investing, options trading, or focusing on ETFs, the key is to align your approach with your personal goals and risk tolerance. Just like businesses that thrive because they position themselves strategically, investors succeed when they focus on what gives them a lasting edge.
For example, if you’re in it for consistent, long-term returns, ETFs paired with options can be a powerful strategy—one that I teach my students. It’s not about chasing trends but about finding a strategy that works for you.
From Sheng Li: Persistence and Backup Plans
Sheng Li reminded me of the importance of persistence while always having a solid backup plan. Although he runs a thriving business, he constantly asks himself, “What other sources of income can I create, just in case?”
This applies perfectly to wealth creation. As investors, relying on just one source of income—whether it’s your job or a single asset—can be risky. Diversification is like building that backup plan.

For example, investing across different asset classes, such as ETFs, dividend stocks, and options, provides multiple streams of income. Having options strategies that generate cash flow monthly can act as a financial buffer during market downturns, much like Sheng Li’s backup plan protects his business.
Persistence, combined with a well-thought-out plan, is what helps you navigate challenges and continue growing your wealth.
From Crystal: Taking the Leap of Faith
Crystal’s story was incredibly inspiring. She left her stable banking job to pursue her dream of becoming a money coach. She shared how every setback taught her valuable lessons and how trusting the process has helped her create a life she loves.

In investing, taking a leap of faith often means starting before you feel “ready.” Whether it’s making your first investment, exploring a new strategy, or learning about options, every step outside your comfort zone is a chance to grow.
Crystal’s journey reminded me of how crucial it is to take calculated risks in wealth creation. The stock market, like life, rewards those who trust the process, stay consistent, and remain open to learning from challenges. Remember, every mistake you make is simply a lesson in becoming a better investor.
As we prepare for 2025, I encourage you to catch up with amazing friends and mentors during this festive season. These conversations can spark new ideas, challenge your thinking, and inspire you to grow in ways you never imagined.
Wishing you a belated Merry Christmas 🎅 and a prosperous New Year ahead!
Let’s make 2025 the year we thrive together, the Arigato way.
Meanwhile, my friend Jeremiah is organising an amazing Year-End Party on 30th Dec, where he’s inviting people like you to learn, connect, and celebrate together.
If you believe that growth comes not just from books, but from the people you meet and the experiences you share, this is the perfect way to close out your year.
