I'm Leaving...

My Sabbatical Leap

Arigato, dear investor,

Lately, I’ve been reflecting a lot on life—on what truly makes me happy, fulfilled, and complete.

I see so many of my friends starting families, settling down with partners, and creating a stable life together. Naturally, my environment makes me feel like I should be on the same path too. At the same time, I’m surrounded by incredibly successful people—like my friend Sabrina, who’s built a multi-million-dollar empire through her businesses and crypto trading. Watching her thrive sometimes makes me feel like I should keep grinding harder to reach that level of success.

But deep inside, I feel anxious.

Despite having over $1M in net worth, I still feel like it’s not enough.

The fear of lack is always there.

So I’ve been asking myself: What is truly enough for me?

After searching for nearly a year, I finally found clarity—thanks to my friend Bibiana’s book, The Sabbatical Leap.

Like me, Bibiana was a high-achiever in a fast-growing career, but she felt constantly empty. What was supposed to be a short holiday turned into a 1.5-year sabbatical in New Zealand, where she discovered true happiness, purpose, and fulfillment.

She was also the one who inspired me to quit my job a year ago, so I can fully focus on building my Arigato Investor Community, (and thank you to be part of it! 💓) a decision that changed my life in ways I never imagined . And now, her book has inspired me to take an even bigger leap.

So, I’m taking my own Sabbatical Leap—to Canada!

After bringing my students to Omaha to visit Warren Buffett in April, instead of flying back to Singapore, I’ll be heading straight to Canada with my boyfriend to start a new life together. 😍

I have enough savings set aside to support this transition, even without touching my investment portfolio. Personally, I don’t like the idea of relying on my portfolio for daily expenses—it adds unnecessary pressure, and investing should be about compounding, not disruption. 💰️ 📈

In Canada, I’ll be exploring new opportunities, having fun, and proving that financial independence means having the freedom to live and earn anywhere in the world. That’s the power of being a digital nomad!

Thank you, Bibiana, for giving me the courage to design my own version of success instead of conforming to societal expectations. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with settling down with family and kids (I’d love to have that life one day too!)—but for now, this is the path I truly need to take. 😊

And if you’re also looking for inspiration to break free from expectations and design a life that truly fulfills you, I have a special gift for you! Bibiana is offering her book The Sabbatical Leap as a free download for the next 4 hours (ending 4pm SGT)— for you!!

Lastly, since I’ll be overseas from April onwards, this will be my last in-person event of the year—so if you want to connect, chat, and learn about money & love, come join me at my Money Valentine’s Party tomorrow! And don’t forget to wear pink. 😉

I am also giving away 7 tickets to 7 lucky ladies because, for some reason, guys are always more interested in financial independence (and more guys have signed up for the party as a result). But as a woman, wouldn’t it be important to have true financial independence so you can live life on your own terms?

So if you want to get the free tickets to come with your girlfriends, just hit reply to my email with “arigato”. The first 7 lucky ladies will get the tickets for free!

Arigato for being a part of my journey. This is not goodbye—just a new chapter. I’ll still be here, sharing my experiences, lessons, and inspirations with you.
