Ever since I started crypto trading last weekend, I’ve been hooked on the thrill of seeing daily profits. Every morning, I wake up and immediately check my inbox to see if my trades hit their auto take-profit (TP) targets. When they do, it feels amazing—like a little win to start the day. But when they don’t, it’s hard not to feel disappointed.

I recently asked Sabrina, a seasoned trader and mentor, how I could speed up my profits. Her answer surprised me. It wasn’t about chasing more trades or analyzing charts 24/7. Instead, she said something counterintuitive: Patience is the key.

Here’s the thing—Sabrina’s consistent profits don’t come from constantly monitoring the markets or making impulsive decisions. Once she sets her entries and TP levels based on her chart analysis, she logs out and doesn’t obsess over every market movement. Unless there’s major news shaking things up, she stays calm and lets the trades play out.

This got me thinking. I realized that patience has been the cornerstone of my long-term investing success too. A few years ago, I shifted the majority of my portfolio to ETFs, and despite the market crash three years ago and the 1.5-year-long bear market that followed, my portfolio emerged stronger than ever.
