Why did Buffett sold Apple?

It's disappointing...

Warren Buffett Dumps 13% Of Apple Stake Before $110 Billion Buyback…

Although Buffett hinted that he sold the stocks for tax reasons, it’s worth looking into how well or worse Apple is performing to get more insights.

And to my surprise, the results were a little disappointing…

Here’s the summary of Apple’s latest business performance and I got these insights from Bay Area Times, a newsletter that I find to be very useful.

1. Apple’s revenue -4% to $90.4B in Q1, net profit -2% to $23.6B

Revenue fell most in China and the entire Asia Pacific, as CEO Tim Cook calls China “the most competitive market in the world”…

Apple announced a (world-)record $110B stock buyback and a 4% dividend increase, sending the stock +6% in the after-market

Although Buffett sold 13% of its Apple stocks, he did say in the recent AGM that Apple is one of the most wonderful companies in the world. That explains why Apple still occupies over 40% of his portfolio.
