đź’ A little confession
from a millionaire...
Arigato, dear investor,
Most people assume that once you hit millionaire status, life becomes all about luxury, indulgence, and carefree spending. But truth is… I still struggle with spending money — espcially on myself.
While many of my friends happily spend $400-$500 a month dining at fancy restaurants, I could never understand why… because all I could think about was, “That money could’ve been invested.”
Where does this come from?
It’s rooted deep in my upbringing. I still remember walking 2km home with my grandma, hand in hand, just to save on bus fare. That mindset of being thrifty stuck with me for years — even after I built my wealth.
There was even a time my dad said to me:
"You make so much money, but you don’t enjoy life. When you’re gone, the money just becomes someone else’s. What’s the point if it’s just numbers?"
That conversation really hit me. And I’ve been reminding myself since then — life isn’t just about saving and growing wealth… It’s also about living.
✨ So during this solo trip to Montreal, I took a little step.
I treated myself to a lovely French lunch at a beautiful little restaurant here in Quebec City. Ordered something exquisite, soaked in the cozy ambiance, and for the first time in a while… I allowed myself to feel joy — guilt-free.
It might sound small, but for me, it’s a milestone. A reminder to celebrate my hard work and not be afraid to enjoy the journey.
I’d love to hear from you — hit reply and share with me:
What’s a habit or fear you’re slowly working to change?
Cheering you on always,
Chloe
